    <p>(If I think of any other missing features, I'll certainly add
    it to this post.)</p>

    <p>I've started the project in my Subversion repository.  Don't
    worry, Simon, the original Bryar 2.6 source is unharmed, safely
    tucked away on a vendor branch.  If I'm feeling nice enough, I may
    even send you the diffs. <strong>:-)</strong></p>
