    <p>Played in my first exhibition game last night.  We got squished
    8-0.  Coach says that's pretty good for a first game; most teams
    get eviscerated 11-0 or worse in their first outing.</p>

    <p>The good:</p>

    <ul>
        <li>We have a good goalie.</li>

        <li>I am not afraid of the puck or the other players.</li>

        <li>I got my preferred number.</li>
    </ul>

    <p>The bad:</p>

    <ul>
        <li>The referees weren't afraid to get us in penalty trouble.
        I guess it's hazing the rookies.</li>

    </ul>

    <p>The ugly:</p>

    <ul>
        <li>We had never played short-handed before last night, much
        less two men down.  We allowed three of four possible power play
        goals.</li>

        <li>The league (or their supplier) screwed up our dark jerseys.</li>
    </ul>

    <p>Things to learn:</p>

    <ul>
        <li>Anything fancy -- nay, I should say anything not simple --
        got me in trouble.</li>

        <li>I need to find more time to stretch and warm up before the game.</li>
    </ul>
