This week's improvised lunch, from bottom to top:
Basmati rice cooked in a rice cooker with a teaspoon of peanut oil and some nebulous amount of cheap curry powder.
Carrots, celery, peanuts, and garlic, stir-fried in too much oil.
Chicken thighs, defrosted and chopped, dusted with corn starch, stir-fried in almost no oil.
Pan sauce of vegetable broth and rooster sauce, thickened with corn starch.
Weird? Probably. Lunch? Definitely. Motivation? Shame to let organic vegetables go to waste.
I don't know what this says about me, other than that I'm apparently competent enough to not kill myself with food I prepare for myself.
