    <p>Those who interact with me on a quasi-regular basis may have
    figured out that I've pretty much abandoned 
    <a href="http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/">one MMORPG</a> in favor
    of <a href="http://www.guildwars.com/">a different MMORPG.</a>
    I'd list a big list comparing the pros and cons of each one,
    but it appears to come down to this:</p>

    <p>Farming is unnecessary.  Travel is cheap and easy.  Players
    not in your party can't screw up your fun.  There are frequent
    content updates and bug fixes.  There is dye for your clothes.
    Characters may have surnames.</p>

    <p>And I don't obsess unhealthily about how my character is not
    as advanced as those of my friends.  That, I think, is the most
    important factor.</p>
